A Shining Light in the Blackest Void

Narissa'lo Moshroca, born during the setting sun on a warm Limsan night was raised in Ul'dah, much like any other of her clan. With her brothers and sisters they caused childish chaos giving even the guards a headache on almost a daily basis. Once she was strong enough to hold a hammer she started helping her father in the forge, working the bellows, striking crude metals or honing blades with oil and stone.This was her life, the life of the Moshroca's, a founding family of the Forgemaster's guild. She quickly showed skill well beyond her age in the art of forging and metallurgy and was on the fast track to becoming an apprentice 2 years earlier then most at the age of 12.
Fate it would seem had a more unique path for her....working the forge late one night with her father she her a voice call to her. Unfamiliar with the sound she turned and came face to face with a creature she could only guess was a demon. Falling to her knees in shock and fear for her life the demon cackled with enjoyment.
As quickly as the maniacal laugh started they faded, Narissa's father springing into action, the glint of a blade slicing through the visage of the creature. Instead of a body collapsing to the floor its body vaporized and was absorbed into the weapon.
Speechless and in shock Narissa's father quickly lifted her up and took her into the house, without a word draped a emerald necklace over her head.
The next several hours were spent in a long discussion, Narissa was special..her clan descended from the void mages of Mhach and once in a generation one is born with there powers. Not only was she choosen to inherit these powers she, being a woman was promised to the voidsent Bitoso, a pact long past formed during the War of the Magi.
Over the next 13 years she not only studied the family craft, but also the secrets of the void, her emerald necklace shielding her from Bitoso's eyes as she trained in the art of Forgemasters before her. Finally on her 25th birthday she had learned everything the guild had to offer, but to become a recognized Forgemaster she had to leave Ul'dah, make her way in the world and return with something new to teach her masters.
